Guess what the most played song at a wedding is. Do you think, Wind Beneath My Wings? My Heart Will Go On? Maybe, a bit of Buble? We weren’t sure. We’ve played such a variety over the years that it was difficult for us to decide, though there’s definitely a few we’d put a little wager on. According to Spotify, number one is ‘At Last’ by Etta James, a song we love and have played for First Dances many times. It’s classic, classy and when we play it at weddings it’s kept simple and true to Etta’s style, much to many a bride and groom’s delight. Second on Spotiffy is Jason Mraz’s ‘I won’t give up’ and Ray LeMontagne’s ‘You Are The Best Thing’ is a classic at number 3 – two wonderful wedding songs we’ve played more than a few times! For all you Indie kids out there, Spotify cites Bright Eyes’ ‘The First Day of My Life’ as it’s number one First Dance. This is an adorable tune and couples have always been so delighted with it. To give you a full rundown of officially the most popular First Dance songs, here you go: 1. At Last by Etta James 2. I Won’t Give Up, By Jason Mraz 3. You, Are The Best Thing, By Ray LaMontagne 4.
